描述：This work aims to achieve a tradition-to-modern transformation of the patterns.In Chinese folklores, Kylin, tiger, snake and toad are all mythical creatures with auspicious meanings. As the younger generations in China are losing their interest in these traditional patterns, I have made this creative designing of traditional patterns in the hope of awakening their curiosity about our traditional culture.

With the traditional Chinese Paper-cutting as the medium, this work takes characters from the traditional Chinese folklore, as such Kylin (Chinese dragon), tiger, snake and gold toad. It depicts the images of mother Kylin telling stories to the little Kylin, tiger, snake and gold toad.
